With the Champions League Final fast approaching the eternal debate has once more begun to rage on. Who is the greatest player of all time? For me, it has to be Maradona. What he achieved as a young 23 year old at Napoli, winning the league twice, virtually single handily. At a time when defenders were tougher and more cynical, and up against competition that included debatably the greatest AC Milan side of all time, it set him apart by a country mile. He had no Xavi, Iniesta, Gerson, Falco, Maradona did it virtually on his own. And that’s before we start on the 1986, 1990 World Cups!
