Afternoon all
After our disappointing opening day 2-1 defeat to Rustington (the least
said the better), we followed that up last Saturday with a well drilled
6-0 win over Midhurst and Easebourne, and I think now we can finally say
our season has started.
A lot of pluses came out of the convincing 6-0 win, a clean sheet, 4
different scorers, and no real need to moan from Bally! We were also
still missing key players which bodes well for the team but not for the
managers who are going to face some interesting decisions once every one
is fit and available. As far as the game went 2 early goals from Birdie
and Joey meant we went in 2 up at half time and fairly in control,
following the break another early goal in the second half meant we could
relax a little more and eventually went on to a convincing win, and in
truth we also missed some good chances including Joey hitting a post to
deny him his hat-trick.
Today we welcome Littlehampton, who have won and drawn their first 2
games, to the Parish Field, and I hope we can take last Saturday's form
into today's tough game and pick up another 3 points
Bakes.
